Bluebell was created with a simple purpose: to provide thoughtful, reliable care that helps people remain independent in the place they love most — home. Our approach is shaped by the values of Bluebell Health: dignity, respect, community, and genuine human connection.
Our story
Bluebell grew from a belief that high-quality care should feel personal, not clinical. We bring together experienced carers, local knowledge, and a commitment to supporting people through every stage of later life.
Our team understands the importance of trust, consistency, and kindness. Whether we are helping with daily routines, offering companionship, or providing more specialist support, we focus on what matters most to you.
Our values
Dignity & respect
Every person deserves to feel valued, heard, and supported in the way that suits them best.
Independence first
We help you stay in control of your life, your choices, and your routines.
Local, reliable support
Our carers live and work in the communities we serve, offering familiarity and continuity.
Families supported too
We guide families with clear communication and practical reassurance.
Meet the team
At Bluebell, care is personal. We are a dedicated team committed to supporting individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our approach is shaped not only by professional experience, but by real-life understanding of what quality care truly means. We take pride in building trust, offering reassurance, and delivering support that makes a genuine difference every day.
Florence Machingauta – Founder / Registered Manager
Florence brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her role at Bluebell. With a background as a biotechnician and postgraduate-level training, she developed a strong foundation in science, precision, and attention to detail.
Her passion for care, however, comes from lived experience. Having supported loved ones through care journeys, Florence understands firsthand the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening.
She leads with empathy and a deep commitment to ensuring every individual receives respectful, person-centred care that supports not just their needs, but their dignity and independence.
